Community Guidelines

iKonX is a professional music industry marketplace. These guidelines exist to keep the community safe, respectful, and productive for everyone — from fans connecting with their favorite artists to professionals building their careers. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

1. Be Respectful

iKonX brings together a diverse community of music industry professionals and fans. We expect all users to:

Golden Rule: iKonX is a professional space. Interact with others the way you would at a respected industry event.

2. Prohibited Content

The following categories of content are strictly prohibited on iKonX. Content that falls into these categories will be removed, and repeat offenders will face account action.

Hate Speech & Discrimination

Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

Harassment & Bullying

Targeted harassment, intimidation, threats of violence, doxxing (sharing private information), or sustained unwanted contact after being asked to stop.

Sexually Explicit Material

Pornographic content, sexually explicit images or videos, non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual solicitation. Artistic nudity in music videos may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Violence & Graphic Content

Content that glorifies, promotes, or depicts graphic violence, gore, or self-harm. Artistic depictions in music that do not promote real-world violence may be permitted with content warnings.

Fraud & Deception

Scams, phishing, misleading offers, fake reviews, impersonation of other artists or public figures, or any attempt to deceive users for financial gain.

Illegal Activity

Content that promotes, facilitates, or depicts illegal activities including drug trafficking, weapons sales, money laundering, or copyright infringement.

Spam & Manipulation

Unsolicited bulk messages, fake engagement (buying followers/reviews), misleading links, malware distribution, or automated/bot behavior.

Platform Circumvention

Sharing personal contact information (phone, email, social handles) in paid messages for the purpose of conducting transactions outside iKonX to avoid platform fees.

3. How to Report

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, you have multiple ways to report it:

3.1 In-App Reporting

When reporting, please include as much detail as possible about the violation. Screenshots are helpful but not required.

3.2 Email Reporting

You can also report violations by emailing support@ikonx.app with:

All reports are confidential. The reported user will not be told who filed the report. We review all reports and take action as appropriate.

4. How to Block a User

If you want to prevent a specific user from interacting with you, you can block them at any time:

You can manage your blocked users list in Settings > Privacy > Blocked Users.

5. Enforcement

We take violations seriously. Enforcement is progressive and proportional to the severity of the violation:

Warning

For first-time or minor violations, we issue a written warning explaining the violation and the expected behavior. The offending content is removed. Your account remains active.

Temporary Suspension

For repeated violations or more serious offenses, your account may be suspended for a defined period (typically 7–30 days). During suspension, you cannot access the App. Pending earnings are held but not forfeited.

Permanent Ban

For severe violations (threats of violence, illegal activity, repeated harassment) or continued violations after suspension, your account will be permanently banned. Access is revoked immediately and permanently.

Immediate Ban: Some violations are severe enough to warrant an immediate permanent ban without prior warning, including but not limited to: threats of physical violence, sharing of non-consensual intimate imagery, fraud, and any illegal activity.

5.1 Content Removal

At any enforcement level, content that violates these guidelines will be removed. We are not obligated to provide a copy of removed content or detailed justification for removal, though we endeavor to explain our decisions when possible.

5.2 Earnings Impact

If your account is permanently banned due to Terms or Guidelines violations, any pending earnings in your wallet may be forfeited. Earnings already withdrawn are not affected.

6. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you have the right to appeal.

6.1 How to Appeal

Send an email to support@ikonx.app with the subject line "Appeal: [Your Username]" within 14 days of the enforcement action. Include:

Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the one who made the original decision. We aim to respond to all appeals within 7 business days. The appeal decision is final.

6.3 Deadline

Important: Appeals must be submitted within 14 days of the enforcement action. Appeals received after 14 days may not be reviewed.

7. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect new features, evolving community standards, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes:
