The Story

Not one career. Five, running at once.

Shane Brown

Shane Brown did not arrive in entertainment through privilege or a fast track. He arrived with a vision, no guarantees, and a willingness to work without recognition until the work spoke for itself.

What followed was not one career. It was five running at the same time, until they converged into a single platform built to fix what he watched the industry refuse to fix for 25+ years.

Origins

From St. Petersburg to the University of South Florida, where he earned a Business Administration degree with a Marketing minor and joined Sigma Nu. He studied acting under Kathy Laughlin and headed for Los Angeles.

The come-up

His first producing credits came through Bill Posley on viral sketch comedy in 2011. He shot dozens of projects for free to earn the room.

The major-label era

He produced and managed major music videos: consecutive Enrique Iglesias videos, work touching Lil Wayne and Christina Milian, then work across Beyonce's Parkwood ecosystem including the "Heaven" video, plus emerging-artist development for Chloe x Halle, Sophie Beem, and Ingrid.

Film

Executive producer on "Bitch Ass" (2022), a SXSW Audience Award winner directed by Bill Posley and starring Tunde Laleye.

VR and experiential

He built his own proprietary VR-in-real-time software in 2017 and ran the #1 virtual-tour company in the US, delivering immersive work for Live Nation, SBE/SLS, Wynn, House of Blues, Caesars, and Gordon Ramsay's venues, plus marquee sports including the PGA Valspar Championship and the College Football Playoff.

iKonX

Over two years he taught himself to ship and wrote the entire iKonX app solo: 43 screens, live payments, and a full booking and paid-messaging marketplace to Apple App Store standards, with no VC and no dev team. He built it while fighting to stay in his two sons' lives, and built it for the independent artist.

The Journey

Built From the Ground Up. Every Single Time.

Not one career. Five, running simultaneously, intersecting constantly, and converging into a single platform built to solve every problem he watched the industry refuse to fix for 25 years. Every chapter fed directly into the next.

College, Acting & Brotherhood

University of South Florida, graduating with a Business Administration degree and a Minor in Marketing. While building a business foundation, he simultaneously studies acting and formal performance under Kathy Laughlin, developing the instrument and craft of character development, storytelling instincts, and a deep understanding of the entertainment business that would define his work across every medium that followed.

A proud member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, building the leadership, discipline, and sense of brotherhood that quietly inform how he thinks about community, loyalty, and what it means to build something bigger than yourself.

Los Angeles: The Decision That Changes Everything

Moves to LA with the goal of becoming an actor. After booking several projects, he makes a critical mistake and misses a major audition; his manager and agent drop him. Instead of chasing the next callback, he pivots. He writes a film based on his college experience called R_SH, only to learn that no one would invest in a first-time producer.

Undeterred, he starts a production company and reconnects with one of his closest friends, Bill Posley, the writer and director who would go on to create the SXSW award-winning film Bitch Ass and write for Shrinking, Cobra Kai, and 9-1-1. Posley gives Brown his first ever producing credit with the viral comedy Waiter Anthem, followed by Bromancing The Phone. Together they shoot over 50 projects for free, a group of friends all in LA chasing the same dream.

The trajectory shifts permanently: from actor waiting to be cast, to producer building the infrastructure for others to create and learning the business side of entertainment behind the camera.

The person ensuring every department delivers, every dollar is accounted for, and every production comes out exactly as intended. This era teaches more about the music industry's economics and internal dynamics than any business school could.

Every project during this period was mentored by award-winning producers Kasra, Director Yasha, and Tina, the three people who helped mold his career and were the driving force behind the ability to work on these projects. They remain mentors and close friends to this day.

Beyonce, Parkwood Entertainment & 9 Grammy Artists

The most significant chapter of his production career. Working directly with Beyonce and Parkwood Entertainment, completing 7 projects for the Parkwood ecosystem, including Beyonce's concerts, the Heaven music video, and helping Parkwood oversee the careers and music videos of their emerging artists: Chloe x Halle (Drop and Fall), Sophie Beem (Skyline), and Ingrid (Flex), alongside an incredible crew of directors and DPs.

Across this era, executive produces more than 50 music videos alongside 9 Grammy Award-winning artists, including projects with Fuse ODG ft Sean Paul, Parker Ighile So Beautiful, Paloma Faith ft Sigma Changing, Hilary Duff, and more. Productions that Shane has worked on have accumulated more than 7 billion views worldwide.

But what stays with him is not the view counts. It is what he witnesses on every set: talented people losing income to intermediaries. Collaboration gated by access. Revenue flowing away from the people who created it.

ViZion Protocol: Blockchain, Trading Tools & Full-Scale Developer

The chapter that makes iKonX technically possible. Creates and founds ViZion Protocol, a blockchain and technology company built to merge blockchain, film, music, and entertainment into a single ecosystem. While the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, the vision remains clear: smart contracts, blockchain infrastructure, and decentralized payments will eventually become part of the iKonX platform once legal clarity arrives.

Brown enters blockchain as a builder, not a speculator, learning the development side from the ground up, studying how to write code, build utility, and architect real systems since 2016, in the early days of blockchain. He develops and deploys automated cryptocurrency trading tools for his users. He teaches himself to code, build backend systems, and architect software from scratch. Not hiring engineers to execute his vision. Becoming the engineer.

This is also where a full-circle moment connects three careers and two decades of friendship. Tunde Laleye, lead actor of the SXSW award-winning film Bitch Ass, directed by the same Bill Posley from Chapter 02 fifteen years later, becomes a co-founder and part of the ecosystem that leads directly to iKonX. What started as a group of friends shooting projects for free in Los Angeles became a lifelong creative partnership, and many of the artists from that journey are now on the iKonX platform themselves. iKonX was built for artists, by artists.

Two Years Building iKonX. Solo. From the Ground Up.

Armed with the development skills built through ViZion Protocol and a crystal-clear picture of exactly what the music industry needs, Brown begins building iKonX. Alone. No outside development team. No venture capital. No traditional runway. Built with the support of those who believed in him and stood beside him during the hardest chapter of his personal life.

During the years he spent building iKonX, Brown was also fighting a legal battle to remain in his children's lives, a fight that continues to this day. He filed a federal lawsuit. He never stopped showing up. And in the middle of that fight, he built the one thing that would not only help an entire industry, but ensure his kids would one day see what their father was building for them. iKonX is not just a platform. It is a promise, to his children, to every artist who ever felt unseen, and to every dreamer who was told the odds were too long.

43 screens. Live payments. Real-time notifications. A fully functional booking and paid messaging marketplace, all built to Apple App Store standards by one person. To the dreamer in you: keep going. Never give up. #BB

A blockchain builder and pioneer since 2016

Brown has been building on blockchain since the mid-2010s, long before it was mainstream. He is a builder, not a speculator: a self-taught full-stack and smart-contract developer who is now one of the most sought-after experts on real on-chain utility, focused on integrating music, film, and entertainment into blockchain. iKonX is the entertainment platform of his blockchain company, ViZion Protocol, and the two will continue to converge as the technology and the law allow.

ViZion Protocol Entertainment

The blockchain and technology company he founded, standing at the crossroads of blockchain and the music, film, and entertainment industry. One of the first decentralized cryptocurrencies built specifically for film and entertainment, with its own NFT marketplace. iKonX is the entertainment platform of the ViZion ecosystem, and on-chain payments and smart contracts are built to integrate as regulatory clarity arrives. Co-founded alongside Tunde Laleye and Bill Posley.

$VIZION token (Solana)

Conceived, developed, and launched the $VIZION token on Solana in January 2024, near a $10K market cap, and scaled it to a peak of roughly $3.2M. A real, on-chain, tradable token tracked on CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, Coinbase, and Forbes Digital Assets. Currently on hold pending regulatory clarity, with plans to keep building the token and the project as the landscape matures.

Builder, not speculator

Self-taught developer who entered blockchain to build, not to trade. He wrote and deployed a Telegram bot and a sniping bot, automated cryptocurrency trading tools, smart contracts, and backend systems from scratch, becoming the engineer rather than hiring one.

Advisor, speaker, pioneer

Has helped others create, launch, market, and promote their own tokens, and has spoken at several blockchain events. One of the most sought-after voices on real on-chain utility, focused on bringing music, film, and entertainment onto the blockchain.
